The start of 2016, as with most years, has been a time for me to reflect on my life, the year just gone, decisions made and the paths to be taken from this point on.
Last year was a jam packed year. I really can’t believe how much happened. The purchase of Alice’s Bookshop being the most significant and wonderful decision Luke and I have ever made together. I had the most amazing class of VCE Art students, I participated in two exhibitions, dabbled in monthly workshops and did some tutoring as well.
So in 2016 I’ve decided to slow things down just a tad. I will not be teaching workshops this year, sorry to those who missed out last year. I have also decided to stop tutoring this year to help concentrate my energy on our bookshop, my teaching practice and most importantly – making art. My aim is to set up an online store with some prints and to definitely try to have a solo exhibition in around 12 to 18 months time.
Also Alice’s Bookshop turns 30 this year so I’ll be getting creative on some things to celebrate.
Please keep posted to my blog as I will be aiming to post all new artworks and adventures in the bookshop, and I’ll also keep reporting back on great things that happen in my life.
HAPPY NEW YEAR & HAPPY MAKING. xo
