What a great Easter we just had! On Thursday I gave my cousin and her husband to be the above painting for their Melbourne apartment. This work is part of a new series of artworks I’ve been creating lately that explores maps, cells, bloodlines, culture and the shifting nature of what it all means.

On Saturday night we went to their wedding which was just so, so beautiful at Captain Melville. We stole some gold painted animals as keepsakes, pictured below.

My parents stayed over at our place on both Saturday and Sunday nights and we spent our time together telling stories, eating, drinking and just enjoying each others’ company. It was truly great. It’s not very often that I get to spend this kind of time with my parents as my Dad lives in Brisbane. So when it does happen it is very special.

The loved up feelings from Saturday are still with me and I think this last week of holidays is going to be spent celebrating life and enjoying the moments I get to spend with the people in it.

By the way I’ll be teaching a Watercolour Workshop to at Work-shop Melbourne tonight so stay posted to this blog for an update of what we did.

Happy Tuesday!
